response to Andrade video

In the Andrade video, he had the same perception with education in society; especially the passion behind it all. In the first part of the video he mentions a glass, either half empty or full. You can look at your life as if it were half empty or full. If you looked at it half empty then you're looking at life much more negative and not so much grateful for what you have in life. For the theory of having a half full cup it shows that you're grateful for what you have, and you make the most out of it. In an article I read about the person Andrade he had similarities and concepts of educations such as Obama. In the article it is stated, "Jeff Duncan-Andrade explores the concept of hope, which was central to the Obama campaign, as essential for nurturing urban youth. He first identifies three forms of “false hope”—hokey hope, mythical hope, and hope deferred—pervasive in and peddled by many urban schools. Discussion of these false hopes then gives way to Duncan-Andrade’s conception of “critical hope,” explained through the description of three necessary elements of educational practice that produce and sustain true hope. Through the voices of young people and their teachers, and the invocation of powerful metaphor and imagery, Duncan-Andrade proclaims critical hope’s significance for an education that relieves undeserved suffering in communities."

This video was very inspirational for me, that they are people that care about people's education and believe that passion should be with you throughout your journey in school, because that passion will get you far in life.
Question #1
Why does andrade care so much about education?
Question #2
Is this an organization we can join?! or is there one?!
Question#3
Was andrade passion towards school stripped away from his parents or someone?
